Electrochemical and structural characterization of materials for energy storage and conversion, including silicon (Li-ion batteries), boron-doped diamond (dye-sensitized solar cells), other nanocarbon materials (Li-ion or aqueous batteries), copper(I) thiocyanate (perovskite solar cells), and ceramic materials (various energy-related applications).
Expertise
Electrochemistry:
• Fundamental electrochemical techniques (CV, EIS, LSV)
• Battery testing (GC, CM, RC)
• In situ Raman spectroelectrochemistry

Structural characterization:
• Raman spectroscopy, SEM, AFM

Electrode preparation & device fabrication:
• Fabrication of various types of electrodes and coin cell assembly
• Development of home-made spectroelectrochemical cells (Raman, XRD)
• Material transfer and microfabrication (graphene transfer, optical lithography)
